Privacy Policy
Effective 30 September 2026
This policy describes how ClubMatches (“we”, “us”) handles personal data in the iOS and Android apps and related backend. It is written for App Store review and for users in the EU/EEA (GDPR).

What the app does
ClubMatches is a marketplace for European club tennis leagues. Clubs post squad needs. Players browse, apply, and chat. Rankings can be linked from public tennis sources or entered by the player.
Data we process
- Account. Email and authentication identifiers from email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In.
- Profile. Name, role (player or club), country, bio, club name, city, league, surfaces, looking-for-club flag. Players may add gender, current ranking, career-high ranking, and a linked official player id/name.
- Offers and applications. Offer text, country, dates, ranking band, optional club contact email/phone, who applied.
- Messages. Chat text between a player and a club that already connected on an offer.
- Reports and blocks. Reporter id, target id, reason. Blocked user ids on your profile.
- Notifications. Device push tokens (FCM) so we can send chat, application, and new-offer alerts. Players may be subscribed to the
player-offerstopic. - Device. Standard technical logs from our hosting provider (IP, timestamp) for security. Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics (stack traces, device type, role in the app). We do not run advertising SDKs or App Tracking Transparency tracking.
Why we process it
To create your account, show the marketplace, match players and clubs, send transactional notifications, moderate abuse, and improve reliability. Legal bases: contract (providing the app), legitimate interest (security, abuse), and consent where required (optional push permission; optional ranking lookup you start yourself).
Ranking lookups (you start these)
If you search or link an official name, the app queries third-party sites from your device: WTA (api.wtatennis.com / wtatennis.com), ESPN tennis search and rankings, Ultimate Tennis Statistics, and ITF World Tennis Tour search. Those operators have their own policies. We store on your ClubMatches profile only the result you confirm (name, id, ranks, source).
Processors
Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging), including Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple. Google Sign-In is provided by Google.
Payments
Season prices shown in the app (player 9.99 €, club 29.99 €) are not charged in this version. The Pay buttons unlock the season for testers on the account. If we enable In-App Purchase later, Apple processes payment; we will update this policy.
Sharing
Other signed-in users can see profiles and open offers needed to use the marketplace. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to handle a safety report.
Retention
Account data stays until you delete the account or we close the service. After deletion we remove your profile, login, offers you posted, and applications you made. Chat copies on the other party’s thread may remain until cleaned up. Push tokens are removed on sign-out or when they become invalid.
Your rights (GDPR)
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You can edit your profile in the app. You can delete the account in Profile → Delete account. You may complain to your EU supervisory authority.
Children
ClubMatches is for adult club tennis. It is not directed at children under 16. Do not create an account for a child.
International transfers
Firebase and Google Sign-In may process data in the United States under Google’s transfer mechanisms. Ranking lookups go to the operators of those tennis sites.
Changes
We will post updates on this page and change the effective date.
